9 Delicious Specialty Drinks You’ll Only Find at Universal Orlando

At first glance, Orlando’s theme parks seem like they are family destinations designed with the kids in mind. While that may be true, there is plenty of fun to be had for adults as well. Although a theme park happy hour is usually associated with Walt Disney World due to Epcot’s unofficial “Drinking around the world” phenomenon, there are plenty of delicious specialty beverages available to enjoy at Universal Orlando as well!

Universal Studios Florida

The Escape at Chez Alcatraz – San Francisco

Cost: $11.00

Chez Alcatraz in the San Francisco neighborhood of Universal Studios is an excellent spot for a cocktail break in the park. The walk-up bar on the Wharf boasts an awesome list of creative beverages including The Escape, which is made with Crown Royal, Captain Morgan, Peach Schnapps, Coke, and a splash of Sour Mix.

Fire Whisky at The Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley – The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Cost: $8.99

The first-ever exclusive liquor in the Wizarding World is Blishen’s Fire Whisky. Unlike Ogden’s Old Fire Whisky (referenced in the book series), the smooth cinnamon-flavored whisky can be enjoyed by both wizards AND muggles. Take the not-too-spicy beverage up a notch by mixing it with a glass of Strongbow for a whisky cider.

If fire whisky’s not for you, you can always go for the Wizarding World classic: Butterbeer. The iconic non-alcoholic beverage can be served ice cold or frozen!

Duff Beer – Springfield: Home of the Simpsons

Cost: $13.49

If you’re a fan of the Simpsons, you know that Springfield hotspot Moe’s Tavern was was put on the map with the invention of the Flaming Moe cocktail. While you can’t purchase the alcoholic cough syrup cocktail at Universal Orlando, you can stop for a drink at a lounge named after the concoction as well as Moe’s Tavern and Duff Brewery. The iconic beverage to order at any of these establishments is an ice-cold Duff beer in a souvenir mug, also available as Duff Light.

Although much different than the original cocktail, there is a non-alcoholic version of the Flaming Moe on the menu at Flaming Moe’s and at Moe’s Tavern. The crisp orange soda drink ($7.99) is served in a special glass and topped with dry ice to give a dramatic smoking effect that lasts for around five minutes.

Lavender Elixir at Monsters Cafe – Production Central

Cost: $5.29

This one is also not technically a cocktail, but it is a cool specialty drink that guests of all ages can enjoy! While wandering through Production Central you can stop by Monsters Cafe for a refreshing Lavender Elixir, made with ice-cold Sprite and blueberry popping boba.

A Glass of Wine at TODAY Cafe – Hollywood

Cost: $9.50 – $14.50

In Hollywood, you can raise a glass to the iconic anchors Hoda & Kathie Lee at TODAY Cafe. In honor of the former wine-loving duo that hosted the fourth hour of the Today Show, you can order a glass of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Prosecco, Rose, Pinot Noir, or Cab Sauv.

The Port of Entry at Backwater Bar – Port of Entry

Backwater Bar is one of the first places you’ll see as you enter Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
