Guide to Walt Disney World Tickets

Guide to Walt Disney World Tickets

Purchasing Disney World tickets requires a lot of decision-making, and recent changes to park tickets have made the process a little more complicated. This guide will help you understand each available ticket and ensure that you’re selecting the best option for your time at the parks!

All Disney World tickets are valid for entry to the resort’s four main parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Additional offerings include two water parks: Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and other magical experiences.

When you’re starting to plan your trip to Disney, you first need to decide how many days you want to spend at the parks. Options range from one day tickets all the way to 10-day tickets!

Disney tickets are now date-based, with daily prices that change based on the selected date of your visit. When purchasing you’ll choose the first date of your planned visit from an online calendar, and the price of your tickets will be based on that day’s rate. For every multi-day ticket, you’ll have a small window of days around your selected dates that your tickets can be used in. For example if you purchase a 2-day ticket, it can be used on any four days after the selected start date before it expires.

If you’re not exactly sure when you plan on using your tickets or you don’t want to commit to visiting on a specific date, you can opt for a Flexible ticket. These tickets can be used on any date of your choice before the set expiration (the current expiration date is December 31, 2019). With multi-day flexible tickets, you have 14 days from the first day of use to use the whole ticket.

Once you’ve selected your dates, you have to think about how many park you want to visit each day. You can choose from One Park per Day tickets, Park Hopper Tickets, Park Hopper Plus tickets and Annual Passes.
