Celebrating New Year’s at SeaWorld, Busch Gardens & LEGOLAND

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and thousands of guests will flock to Florida for holiday festivities. Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando will draw the craziest crowds, but there are other ways to celebrate in style. Check out these other popular theme parks for special events, music and fireworks to cheer on the start of the new year!


SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration will last through December 31st and will be much less crowded than Disney and Universal, making it a more relaxing choice for holiday fun. The park will feature a special fireworks show at midnight as well as other seasonal performances throughout the day, such as:

  • Elmo’s Christmas Wish: 3p.m., 4:45p.m., 6:30p.m. and 8p.m.
  •  O Wondrous Night: 6p.m., 8p.m. and 9:30p.m.
  • Sea of Trees: 6p.m., 7:40p.m. and 8:50p.m.
  • Shamu Christmas Miracles: 8:30p.m. and 10p.m.
  • Waterfront Snow Flurries: 5:30p.m., 6:45p.m. and 8:15p.m.
  • Winter Wonderland on Ice: 6:45p.m., 9:45p.m. and 11:25p.m.
  • Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale: Midnight

 Busch Gardens

You can head to this popular animal-themed theme park to avoid Central Florida crowds while ringing in the new year. There will be a party atmosphere to celebrate the end of the year with DJs and a midnight fireworks performance. The park will be open from 9a.m. to 1a.m. so guests can party through the end of the year!


This kid-friendly park is a great choice for vacationing families for celebrating the new year. The park is hosting a Kid’s New Year’s Eve with fireworks and a dance party. Fireworks will go off nightly from December 26th – 30th, including special LEGO brick bursts that can be seen with 3D glasses. A kid-friendly LEGO ball will drop at 7p.m. with fireworks.
