Explore Walt Disney World with the Play Disney Parks App!

Whether you’re looking to kill time while stuck in a long line or you want to interact with the parks even more, the Play Disney Parks app allows you to connect with the park in a whole new way! Available for both Apple and Android smartphones, the app has fun themed games, music playlists, Disney trivia, and digital achievements to enjoy at all four Walt Disney World parks.

Magic Kingdom

There are several ways to interact with your surroundings at Magic Kingdom such as fun trivia about each area of the park, awesome playlists inspired by shows and attractions, games to play while waiting in line, and special achievements to unlock around the park.

Trivia

Test your knowledge of the first Walt Disney World park with a variety of trivia about rides, characters, and other fun facts about each area of the park. The Magic Kingdom trivia categories include:

  • Park Trivia
  • Adventureland Trivia
  • Frontierland Trivia
  • Fantasyland Trivia
  • Dumbo Trivia
  • Tomorrowland Trivia
Apple Music Playlists

The Apple Music playlists can be enjoyed outside of the park or add a little magic to your day inside the park. Each playlist represents a different area or experience that you’ll find at Magic Kingdom, including:

  • Disney Road Trip: Start your Disney experience on the drive to the parks! This playlist is loaded with hit songs from Cars, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, Mary Poppins, Coco, and more!
  • Main Street USA: As you enter the park, you can listen to an upbeat playlist of tunes from Mary Poppins, The Mickey Mouse Club, and other jolly music that matches the theme of Main Street USA.
  • Happily Ever After: The “Happily Ever After” playlist is essentially the audio version of Magic Kingdom’s evening spectacular show. It features the full show narration by Jordan Fisher and Angie Keilhauer, along with the music from the show
  • Adventureland: Songs from Aladdin, Tarzan, Pirates of the Caribbean, and other adventure filled Disney music
  • Frontierland and Liberty Square: Music from The Country Bear Jamboree, Splash Mountain, The Princess and the Frog, and The Haunted Mansion
  • Fantasyland: Features songs from Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and other beloved stories from Fantasyland.
  • Tomorrowland: Music from Lilo and Stitch, Monsters Inc., Toy Story, and the Carousel of Progress
Achievements

After riding the following attractions, you’ll collect an achievement! while walking toward the attraction, make sure your phone is on and you’re logged into your playfile. Enable bluetooth and set your location permission to “always allow” and once the ride is over you’ll see your achievement. The achievements you collect can be traded at the parks for awesome pins to decorate your backpack, lanyard, hat, and more!

  • Tomorrowland: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
  • Adventureland: Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Frontierland: Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Liberty Square: Haunted Mansion
  • Fantasyland: Peter Pan, it’s a small world, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and The Barnstormer featuring Goofy as the Great Goofini
Games

The Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day at Splash Mountain can be played at any time, by yourself or with up to five players. In this activity, you can play over 15 mini-games with Splash Mountain’s woodland friends such as flipping pancakes with Ma Cat and eating apples with Sir Slithers.

While in line at Peter Pan’s Flight, two to five players can enjoy the Off to Never Land game. Tinker Bell entertains players with questions, stories, jokes, and more fun! This game requires Bluetooth.

Another game you can play while waiting in a ride queue is Rocket Race at Space Mountain. Two to five players can join together for some fun training missions that will prepare you for your Space Mountain adventure! 2 to 5 players

Epcot

Because Epcot doesn’t have as many rides and attractions as Magic Kingdom, there are not as many activities to play on the app. However, there are still a few awesome ways to interact with the park.

Apple Music Playlists

Just like the Magic Kingdom playlists, this music can enhance your Epcot experience or cheer you up at home when you need a little extra Disney magic!

  • Disney Parks Hits: All of the most popular Disney tunes inspired by attractions and entertainment like the Enchanted Tiki Room, Fantasmic!, and Test Track.
  • Future World: Songs from the movies and shows represented in Future World such as Finding Nemo, Phineas and Ferb, Big Hero 6, and Inside Out
  • Frozen Ever After (Norway Pavilion): Listen to the Frozen soundtrack in honor of Norway’s Frozen Ever After boat ride.
  • Disney en Espanol (Mexico Pavilion): This playlist is filled with some popular Disney hits in Spanish, as well as the Coco soundtrack.
  • World Showcase Playlist: Songs that represent all of the countries in the world showcase
Games

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is an interactive journey all throughout the World Showcase. Phineas and Ferb character Agent P is on the hunt for Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who is wreaking havoc all around the showcase. Play alone or with the help of up to nine other players to stop Dr. D in the following locations:

  • Germany Pavilion: Help take down Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s “landslidinator”
  • Japan Pavilion: Stop Dr. D from turning the people of Japan into toddlers with his “babyinator”
  • France Pavilion: Ruin the evil mastermind’s plan to steal the French accent with the “accentinator”
  • United Kingdom Pavilion: Catch him is trying to get rid of his golf competition with the “pecipitator-inator”
  • Mexico Pavilion: Take down the “flashbackinator”
  • China Pavilion: Crack the codes to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over China

The Soarin’ Challenge can be played while waiting to ride the Future World attraction or outside of the parks. You can play solo or team up with other players (up to 9) to test your knowledge of famous landmarks, history, and culture.

Each pavilion in the World Showcase has a Kidcot Fun Stop, where little ones can create their own souvenirs and decorate them in each country. With the Play Disney Parks app, you can also take on the Disney Kidcot Puzzle Hunt. Up to five players can explore the pavilions together, looking for a Kidcot Fun Stop puzzle piece to collect and complete your digital puzzles. Use digital clues to find pieces in the park that will help you complete all of the puzzles. When you’ve completed all of the puzzles, you can unlock the ultimate Epcot puzzle. During your hunt, you will also learn fun facts about each country and earn prizes!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to two totally immersive areas: Toy Story Land and the upcoming Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. These lands make for an even more exciting interactive experience with the Play Disney Parks app!

The trivia at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will test your knowledge on Disney parks, areas of Hollywood Studios, and past and present fun facts about Hollywood:

Apple Music Playlists

It’s probably not surprising that the Apple Music playlists at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are dedicated to the soundtracks of popular Disney and Pixar films like:

  • Hollywood Studios Playlist: Hits from movies represented in the park such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Toy Story
  • Best of Star Wars
  • The Muppets Music
  • Disney Pixar Hits: Includes songs from films like Toy Story, Cars, and The Incredibles
  • Disney Hits: Classic hits from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and more
  • Disney Junior Hits: All the jams from Fancy Nancy, Puppy Dog Pals, Vampirina, and other popular Disney Junior shows
Achievements

Before you board the following attractions, make sure your Bluetooth is on and you’re logged into your playfile to collect more achievements!

  • Sunset Boulevard: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Games

Andy’s Boardgame Blast can be played at home or while visiting Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. Two to five players can get together and play a game that Andy created with spare toys, cardboard boxes, and his creative imagination.

Inside the park, you can connect via Bluetooth for a fun way to kill time while in line for Toy Story Mania. Toy Story Mania Playset Party can be played with a partner or in a group of up to five players. Help Toy Story pals put a playset together in a series of activities.

In Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, your smartphone becomes a Datapad with the help of the Disney Parks Play app. The Datapad allows you to interact even further with the world of Planet Batuu with a variety of tools to use around the area. The features of the Datapad include:

  • Hacking: Interact with select door panels and droids to get a glimpse at their memories
  • Scanning: Take a look at what’s inside cargo crates you come across while walking around
  • Translate: Helps you understand”Aurebesh”, the written language of Planet Batuu.
  • Tuning: Tap into signals from antennas and other communication devices to pick up on secret messages

You can also use your Datapad to play in-queue games at Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Now that Rise of the Resistance is up and running at the park, there are even more exploration opportunities to enjoy! With your Datapad, you can choose to support either the First Order or the Resistance by selecting jobs to participate in as you make your way towards the new attraction. If you opt to assist the Resistance you may receive a distress signal from Finn, who is undercover on a Star Destroyer. When you connect, you’ll have to help him navigate the ship by choosing Finn’s path. Other tasks include freeing Resistance prisoners, reprogramming droids, and collecting information on the First Order. You may even unlock some exclusive items and info along the way!

On the other hand, First Order loyalists will spend their time in the Resistance surveilling and reporting the inside scoop on the Resistance’s supplies, intercepting transmissions, and planting tracking devices.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, use the app to enjoy music and games that connect you further to nature all around the park!

  • Pandora: The World of Avatar: The soundtrack of the major motion picture
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Music from movies like Dinosaur, The Lion King, and A Bug’s Life
  • Disney Parks Hits: All of the most popular Disney tunes inspired by attractions and entertainment like the Enchanted Tiki Room, Fantasmic!, and Test Track.
  • Festival of the Lion King: Songs from the hit Broadway show
Games

The ACE Guide to Pandora allows you to explore the Valley of Mo’ara in a whole new way. After connecting via Bluetooth, you can interact with the land in a variety of awesome ways. Scan surroundings for exotic life, make native music and learn all about Pandora from an ACE digital tour guide who will share fun facts and trivia about the planet. Join Alpha Centauri Expeditions for an adventure through Pandora along with up to five players.

Join the Conservation Fund for Animal Expeditions throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom. During the 35 minute adventures, you and up to five other players will learn about the organization’s wildlife efforts in the following locations:

  • Gorilla Falls (Africa)
  • Asia: Maharajah Jungle Trek (Asia)
  • Tree of Life (Discovery Island)

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

You can have fun with the Play Disney Parks app at other Walt Disney World Resort locations as well. Guests staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort can interact with their surroundings with the app.

Music

Just like the in-park music, the Apple Music Playlists can be accessed at all times.

  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: Music that represents each area of the hotel (Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Cars)

Games

The lobby walls at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort come to life with Stories of the Enchanted Gallery. You can connect via Bluetooth during your stay to create themed art and watch it in action, animating stories inspired by Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Cars. You can play this game alone or with up to five other players. 1 to 5 players
