Epcot Debuts Three New Cinematic Adventures!

Epcot Debuts Three New Cinematic Adventures!

Epcot’s massive multi-year transformation project is already well underway, and some of the new features are already making their debut. Starting today, three all-new film experiences are available to enjoy at the park.

Awesome Planet

In The Land pavilion, a new 10-minute film called Awesome Planet now runs daily in the theater that was formerly home to Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable. Along with incredible in-theater special effects like wind and water, Awesome Planet tells the beautiful, dynamic story of Planet Earth with the help of stunning imagery and an original musical score composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price. The new mini movie is narrated by Modern Family’s Ty Burrell.

Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360

Guests can explore the Great White North with the help of a brand new Circle-Vision 360 film in the Canada Pavilion called Canada Far and Wide. The replacement for the long-standing O Canada! film, which closed in August 2019, is narrated by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy. The new movie experience is a beautiful virtual tour of Canada, with a new storyline, all new scenes, and a new musical score from Canadian composer Andrew Lockington.

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along

In the France Pavilion, Palais du Cinemais has undergone several changes recently, including upgrades to the long-running “Impressions de France” film. The theater has also added a new video experience to the attraction called the “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along”. Narrated by Angela Lansbury (the original Mrs. Potts), the “twist on a tale as old as time” will run alongside the current Impressions de France film. The Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will run daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, then Impressions de France will take over from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

In addition to the films, guests can now explore a new exhibit inside Palais du Cinemais. “Tales as Old as Time: French Storytelling on Stage and Screen” features six different gallery cases dedicated to French literature that has inspired Disney classics like Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella. The collection includes costumes, music, artwork, and more!
