Epcot’s Frozen Attraction Gets a Name

Epcot’s Frozen Attraction Gets a Name

Walt Disney World has released details on the upcoming Frozen attraction, expected to open May 2016. The attraction, named Frozen Ever After, is replacing Maelstrom at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.

Though many images have surfaced featuring a demolished Maelstrom ride, Frozen Ever After will keep much of the infrastructure that Maelstrom included, which indicates that the attraction will follow the same path as it’s predecessor in a boat-style ride. All of the audio-animatronics will be cutting edge, and will use the same type of projector system that animates the faces of the dwarfs on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster.

Set in Arendelle, the queue will feature Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and other familiar areas. The first characters that guests will see on the ride will be Olaf and Sven, who are preparing for a Winter Festival. Guests will then encounter the trolls telling the story of how Anna and Kristoff first met. Olaf will be seen singing and ice skating with Anna, Kristoff and Sven, while the big reveal shows Elsa singing “Let It Go” on her balcony.

Frozen Ever After opens May 2016 at Disney’s Epcot. To check out all the rides and attractions that Walt Disney World has to offer, purchase discount Disney tickets at Tickets2You.com!
