Walt Disney World Resort is getting ready to unveil a whole slew of seasonal entertainment, guaranteed to give parkgoers and Incredible Summer! Starting May 25, each park will be introducing new shows, character experiences, and other family friendly fun for guests to experience all summer long.
An Incredible Tomorrowland Expo is taking over Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom from May 25 through September 3. Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Frozone, and for the first time ever Edna Mode will be hanging out with guests celebrating the upcoming release of Incredibles 2. Festivities include decor, music, and a SUPER dance party on the Rockettower Plaza Stage from 2-7 PM each day. You can also register your babies for the Jack Jack Diaper Bash, a crawling race at the stage daily. Registration opens at 10:30 AM each day, and the races will begin at 12 PM.
In addition to the new activities, guests will find special Incredibles food and drink specials throughout Tomorrowland. Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies is serving up Edna Mode’s “No Capes, Just Crepes” sundaes in two flavors: Nutella crepe with ice cream and berries on top, and blackberry lavender jam crepes with ice cream and fruit flavored cereal on top. At Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, guests can try a Super Food Salad, made of kale, spinach, quinoa, avocado , blueberries and pico de gallo or the Super Stretchy Burger, topped with deep fried mozzarella sticks, american cheese, slow roasted bacon, and garlic ranch sauce. Other exclusive snacks include the Mrs. Incredible Pretzel mask topped with black salt and Jack Jack cookies from The Lunching PAd, and Dash Pizza from Tomorrowland Terrace.
The Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! Concert series starts June 19 at Epcot. Star Lord and Gamora are joining an alien band to perform hits from Star Lord’s Awesome Mixtapes 1 and 2. The “musical journey through the cosmos” will take place five times a day through August 19, building excitement for the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride coming to Epcot soon.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Donald Duck’s Dino-Bash begins May 25 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The “dino-tastic” street party celebrates Donald’s recent discovery that his ancestors were dinosaurs. The DinoLand U.S.A. takeover includes colorful new decor and characters in festive costumes including Donald, Daisy, Pluto,
Goofy, Chip’n’Dale, and Launchpad McQuack.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated Disney events this summer is the grand opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The major park addition includes two brand new rides, a new quick service dining location, and tons more Toy Story nostalgia that will make you feel like a kid again. Slinky Dog Dash is a roller coaster inspired by everyone’s favorite Slinky Dog toy. The family friendly attraction takes riders all up, down, and around Toy Story Land. The Alien Swirling Saucers ride is designed to look like a play set found in Andy’s room, with a claw hanging from the top much like the legendary claw from Pizza Planet. The new dining location, called Woody’s Lunch Box, is a quick service window that serves a menu of classic American favorites, from grilled cheese to old fashioned soda floats. “Andy’s backyard” will be open for guests to explore on June 30.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Typhoon Lagoon is hosting an after hours party on Thursday and Saturday nights from June 21 through August 11! H2O Glow Nights will run from 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM and guests of all ages will have the unique opportunity to explore the water park under the moonlight. Inspired by the Pixar short film “Partysaurus Rex”, the evening celebration will feature appearances from Toy Story characters, glow parties in the surf pool, a DJ dance party on the beach, and special food and drink offerings. There will also be an adults-only area called The Wharf, with a private bar, additional seating, and entertainment. All of the park’s regular attractions will be open for partygoers to enjoy as well. Tickets are expected to cost $55 for adults and $50 for children.
