Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Returns to Magic Kingdom Park This Fall

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Returns to Magic Kingdom Park This Fall

Although summer has yet to arrive, it’s not too early to plan ahead for some of the popular fall events headed to the Walt Disney World parks . Disney recently announced the dates for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom, which will feature 29 dates where guests can trick-or-treat throughout the park.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates

See your favorite Disney characters dressed in their own Halloween attire and enjoy special entertainment like a spook-tastic parade and an extravagant display of fireworks. This year you can catch returning favorites including “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade,” “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular,” and “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks. The full list of this year’s dates include the following:

  • September – 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30
  • October – 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31

Costume Guidelines

Guests will be happy to learn that costuming guidelines have been revised for special events in the theme parks. While costumes and Halloween attire may be worn throughout the event, Disney advises that guests over the age of 14 are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes or props that surround the entire body, as they may be subject to additional security screenings. Guests are also prohibited from bringing any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.  Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent. All guests who dress up may also not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other guests.

Short Wait Times

Most rides and attractions will also be open during the event, where guests can enjoy shorter waits for rides. Keep in mind though that there will be no FastPass+ reservations available during the party, and not all rides will be open. Guests with party tickets will be able to enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm with enough time to enjoy the rides before the Halloween festivities begin at 7pm.

Disney Tickets

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a family-friendly event for all ages where guests can explore the Magic Kingdom to collect candies, sweets and all types of treats. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event and is not included with general admission to Magic Kingdom Park, although admission to the Magic Kingdom is not required to solely attend the party. On the days of the party, Magic Kingdom will close at 7pm to guests who have not purchased tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
