Must-Try Treats at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™

Must-Try Treats at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™

Butterbeer™ is one of the first things that come to mind when thinking about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Orlando® Resort. How do you know which type of butterbeer™ to try? Now, you won’t have to waste your time or money testing out the abundance of sweet treats throughout Hogsmeade™ and Diagon Alley™. Take a closer look into the best treats to try during your next visit.

The first necessity you will want to grab at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ is a treat featured all over the park. Butterbeer™ comes in two different forms – frozen slushy or soda. Both have butterscotch froth on top of a cream soda filling. The sweeter and more potent flavor of the frozen slushie form makes this a better choice than the soda form of this amazing concoction. The good thing is- both are available at the same price and are available in both Hogsmeade™ and Diagon Alley™.

Another exciting new addition is butterbeer™ flavored ice cream. If you want to try this sweet treat, you’ll have to visit Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor or The Fountain of Good Fortune at Diagon Alley™. Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor carries unique ice cream flavors all year round. Try the lavender and earl grey, granny smith, a zesty chocolate chili and more ice cream flavors you’ve never tasted before. Another place to stop for a unique butterbeer™ invention is at your favorite coffee shop. Various Starbucks around Universal serve a butterbeer™ flavored Frappuccino. It’s not on their menu, so be sure to ask the barista for this secretly blended creation.

There are more Potter-themed beverage options throughout both parks for those looking for a new flavor. Pumpkin juice is another tasty beverage flourishing at the Wizarding World. This drink is thirst quenching, delicious and is served in a souvenir bottle topped with a pumpkin. Hog’s Head brew is another beverage option and is the only Potter-themed alcoholic drink. Hog’s Head is a pleasant Scottish ale and one of the best rated beers in the park. If you’re 21 and up, we recommend purchasing a brew from Hog’s Head Inn at Hogsmeade™, where you can sip your beverage at the Inn-style pub. Everlasting Elixirs at Diagon Alley serves up flavorful potions to add to your Gilly Water. Even just a small drop of an Elixir will magically transform your water into a fruity and delicious drink.

Honeydukes in Hogsmeade™ will have you jumping for chocolate frogs. Freshly-baked treats featured in the Potter series are made here along with unique and magical candy creations. The chocolate cauldron cake is a must-try. The mouthwatering cauldron contains a moist chocolate cake with a hard chocolate shell on the outside and decadent chocolate mousse on the inside, topped with a chocolate handlebar and a chocolate candle with sugar smoke plume. If you’re looking for a sweet on-the-go treat, grab the Fizzy Wizzbees, or pop rocks covered in milk chocolate. There are several Potter-themed candies and unique sweet treats for you to try at Honeydukes.

Between the butterbeer™ stands, Hog’s Head brew, juices, ice cream, freshly baked goods and candies, you will always find a new treat to try at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Don’t forget to have a meal at the infamous Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade™. No matter what you fancy, both Hogsmeade™ and Diagon Alley™ have something to ease your hunger and calm your sweet tooth.
