Popular Thrill Ride to Receive Makeover

One of Universal Orlando‘s biggest thrill rides is getting ready for a huge new makeover, according to Universal’s official blog. Beginning September 8th, The Incredible Hulk roller coaster will be closed until summer 2016 for a facelift that will make the ride “more immersive and high tech.” Park officials noted that the storyline and passenger vehicles of the roller coaster will be upgraded, enhancing the overall experience.

“I’ve been lucky enough to get a sneak peek at plans for The Incredible Hulk Coaster, and I can tell you the overall experience is going to feel more immersive and high-tech. But don’t worry—the attraction will still have the same “Incredible” personality that makes it one of America’s most popular coasters,” saysDoug Boemler Wareing, a spokesperson for Universal Orlando.

Although the popular Islands of Adventure ride will be closed until next summer, guests can continue to enjoy the other thrills that the park has to offer, including the Dragon Challenge coaster, themed after the Harry Potter books/films, Jurassic River Adventure, and Dr. Doom’s FearFall.
