Sea Life Orlando Aquarium Receives Its First Fish!

Sea Life Orlando Aquarium Receives Its First Fish!

With the many new attractions opening up on I-Drive in Orlando, one of the most exciting is the addition of an aquarium at the I-Drive 360 complex. Sea Life Aquarium is owned by Merlin Entertainment, who also owns LEGOLAND Florida, Madame Tussauds Wax Museums and the Orlando Eye, and features aquariums all over the world. The Orlando Sea Life aquarium will be the 8th in the United States and the 50th in the world, and just last week, they announced that its first group of fish and marine animals have been introduced to the 25,000 gallon aquarium!

The first marine life additions include Everglades pygmy sunfish, tigerfish, butterflyfish, sea snakes and Moray eels. Opening on May 4th, the aquarium will be home to more than 5,000 sea animals from oceans and waters from across the globe. Once each group of fish and marine life are acclimated to the aquarium waters, they will be moved into one of the 32 habitat displays that will be present at Sea Life Orlando. After the smaller animals are introduced, the larger marine life, such as sharks and rays, will move into the aquarium.

Guests at the attraction will have a chance to get up-close to many sea creatures through many different types of displays including built-in tunnels and curved walls, cold water rock pools, floor-to-ceiling aquariums and more.

The SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium opens on May 4th! Tickets are now on sale at https://tickets2you.com/merlin-entertainments for the Sea Life Aquarium, The Orlando Eye, and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
