While fright fests are popping up all over Orlando this fall, SeaWorld Orlando offers a family-friendly celebration on weekends from September 22 through October 28. SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is a daytime Halloween event complete with trick-or-treating, dance parties, and fun shows.
Trick Or Treating
All over SeaWorld, there are sea-themed trick or treat stations set up for guests to get their fill of treats from partners like Chick Fil A, Oreo, Pirates Booty, Swedish Fish and many more.
In an effort to help protect the ocean and its inhabitants, guests are requested to bring a reusable bag or bucket to collect your goodies in. There will also be a variety of reusable totes available for $0.99 at the Exit Gift Shop, SeaWorld Store, Lighthouse Cart, Children’s Gift, Sea Rescue, Shoppes of Waterfront, and at merchandise huts around the park.
Costumes are totally welcome, but they must fit into the park’s standard dress code and only kids who are under the age of 13 can use masks or hoods in their costumes. Outside facepaint is not permitted, but there are facepaint artists all around the park who can add some sparkle to your ensemble!
Stop by Penelope’s Garden Party for an “underwater” dance party under a sky full of bubbles on Bayside Pathway and enjoy a live DJ, colorful sea creatures “swimming” around the party, and arts and crafts.
The night always ends with a Halloween Dance Party at the front of the park, complete with line dancing and other fun!
Sesame Street Fun
At the Seaport Theater Elmo, Abby and other Sesame Street friends come together to cheer up The Count and get him in the holiday spirit during Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween. The Count is feeling particularly lonely this Halloween and his friends need the help of the audience to make him feel better by dancing, playing and singing. You can purchase reserved seating to the show at a time of your choice for an additional $10.
For even more Sesame Street fun, consider making reservations for Count Von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast. Hosted by The Count, the buffet style dining experience includes meet and greet opportunities with beloved characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Rosita.
Pet’s Ahoy Halloween
SeaWorld’s beloved animal comedy show is getting a Halloween twist during the Spooktacular as well. Stop by the Seaport Theater to see dogs and cats, ducks and doves, potbellied pigs, and other animals stars perform crazy stunts and feats with the help of their trainers.
In the Mermaid Grotto, guests can pose for photos with beautiful, mystical mermaids. Photo packages are available for purchase or SeaWorld photographers can help you get the perfect shot on your personal camera.
