Later next year, you will be able to “come live your very own epic Star Wars story” when an out of this world adventure debuts at Walt Disney World. The Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is a two day, two night, all-immersive vacation that will allow guests to experience life in the Star Wars Universe.
The starship-shaped hotel experience takes place onboard The Halcyon, a starcruiser that is known around the galaxy for its exotic destinations and excellent hospitality. Each trip will feel sort of like a cruise vacation that isn’t on the water, with all guests arriving and leaving at the same time. The immersive concept offers guests the opportunity to “role play” during their stay.
After checking in at the terminal, you’ll enter a Launch Pod that will take you to The Halcyon. Through the windows above you, you will be able to watch the real world fade away as you make your way into hyperspace.
When the Launch Pod docks on the Halcyon, the airlocks will open and you’ll find yourself in the Main Atrium. This is the heart of the Halcyon, where the adventure really begins.
Some of the things that make the Starcruiser experience so special are the onboard immersive activities. Interactive entertainment includes learning how to properly wield a lightsaber and connect with The Force, helping the crew operate the ship’s navigation and defense systems on The Bridge, and much more!
Passenger Cabins will sleep up to four guests each, with adult-sized beds and bunk beds for kids in each cabin. Every bunker-style room will have its own window into space with views of ships and other sights around the galaxy.
Trips on the Halcyon (rumored to cost $3000 per person) include a “port visit” to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Starcruiser guests will board a themed shuttle that delivers them right to the heart of Planet Batuu during their stay.
Stay tuned for tons more information and inside scoop on the epic vacation experience as the grand opening gets closer! Reservations for the Galactic Starcruiser are set to open later this year.
