Get a Taste of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

UPDATED 9/21/20

It’s been a crazy year so far with tons of unexpected changes, one major thing being the extended shut down of Walt Disney World and other surrounding theme parks. To make up for lost time, Epcot is bringing a taste of the International Food and Wine Festival to the park starting July 15. The abbreviated version of the iconic event starts earlier than ever this year, and will take place for a record number of days — through the summer and into the fall season.

Due to social distancing guidelines, the festival will be a bit smaller in comparison to past events. There will be fewer global marketplaces set up around the park in order to make sure all guests have plenty of room to safely indulge in a variety of small plates, desserts, and specialty beverages.

Global Marketplaces

Despite the fact that the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a slightly downsized version of the annual event, there are still more than 20 signature Global Marketplaces where you’ll find the same creative and delicious dishes and drinks you love.

Festival Activities and Entertainment

Unfortunately due to extra safety precautions, many of the usual activities such as culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars, and other interactive experiences will not be available during the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

The Eat to the Beat concert series that always accompanies the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is always a big hit, but will not be included at this event. Eat to the Beat shows typically draw large crowds to the America Gardens Theater, which would make social distancing guidelines hard to follow. However, there will be plenty of Epcot entertainment taking the stage on festival days including Mariachi Cobre, The JAMMitors, and more!

Guests of all ages can take part in Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt, which is back for this year’s Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. You can purchase a map and stickers at participating locations (Pin Traders – Camera Center, Port of Entry, or World Traveler at International Gateway) and help Remy explore the World Showcase on a quest for special ingredients to complete his signature dish.

Part of Walt Disney World’s new procedures requires guests to make a reservation at the parks before visiting. Head to Disney’s website to book your visit to the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival now!
