The Best Firework Viewing Areas in Magic Kingdom

A spectacular grand finale waits the end of every wondrous day at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The Wishes Nighttime Spectacular firework show glows brilliantly behind Cinderella’s royal castle and features a state-of-the-art story telling projection reflecting off every tower and window of the castle. Gaze in amazement as Disney Princesses and characters come to life on the castle’s sky high façade to narrate the majestic display. There are numerous hot spots to watch this spectacular show, but dodging the towering attractions and persistent crowds is a greater fleet than you can imagine. Learn about insider viewing areas before your next Magic Kingdom vacation and enjoy all of the action with first-class viewing comforts.

One of the best places to see all of the action up close is between the bridge connection to the Central Plaza and Tomorrow World. From this view your favorite magical fairy, Tinkerbelle, soars so close you may catch a glimmer of pixie dust on your shirt. Fireworks are shot over the lake next to the bridge and the castle projection display is easily seen from this perspective of the castle. Stroll to the newly constructed sections of Central Plaza for your shot at more elbow room and head-on view during this popular show.

Central Plaza is located between Cinderella’s Castle and Main Street U.S.A. and is an expansive spot with a direct view of the grand castle display. New garden areas, like the Rose Garden and Main Street Plaza Gardens, allow hundreds of guests to delight in pristine sights of the castle presentation and fireworks. The Rose Garden off of Central offers a prime location to stand and watch the nightly display. A new Disney Fastpass+ viewing area, Main Street Plaza Gardens, is open for those Fastpass+ members who have reserved a spot in advanced. Both of these expansive gardens are premier viewing areas for the firework show. Save your spot in advanced by either checking into the Main Street Plaza Gardens with your Fastpass or heading toward the Rose Garden area well before the show starts.

Delight in the firework show without the crowds by reserving a seat at the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show or the California Grill. The Spirit of Aloha Dinner show exits onto a lakeside beach. This beautiful waterfront space is typically less crowded than the park and allows guests to view the fireworks from across the lake. The California Grill offers a luxurious place gaze at the fireworks and Cinderella’s glowing castle through floor to ceiling windows. Dine in comfort and seemingly hover over the lake as the castle lights the sky majestically while colorful fireworks dance overhead.

The Magic Kingdom provides numerous viewing locations for this show and allows every guest the opportunity to enjoy this nightly spectacular firework event. Keep an eye out for future firework viewing areas as Disney adds new pathways and sculpted gardens to Central Plaza. Disney has just begun more renovations to accommodate the growing admiration for the popular Wishes Nighttime Spectacular firework performance. Settle into any of these premier viewing destinations to watch fireworks burst into life as classic Disney characters dance happily across the castle walls.
