Know Before You Go: Theme Park Updates for March 2021

It’s hard to believe we’re three months in to 2021, but March is already here! Although things are still slowly getting back to normal at the theme parks, but there are plenty of fun events to look forward to this Spring.

Walt Disney World

Starting March 3, you can get a Taste of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World! The annual event has been modified in order to maintain physical distancing guidelines. However, you can still enjoy many of the amazing elements you would expect to find at Disney World’s longest-running festival. Attraction Updates

This month, the following attractions will be closed at Walt Disney World:

  • Mad Tea Party (Magic Kingdom) – Closed until March 4
  • Swiss Family Tree House (Magic Kingdom) – Closed from March 12-25
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (Magic Kingdom)
  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (Magic Kingdom)
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (Magic Kingdom)
  • The Hall of Presidents (Magic Kingdom)
  • Turtle Talk with Crush (Epcot)
  • Fantasmic! (Hollywood Studios)
  • Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (Hollywood Studios)
  • Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage (Hollywood Studios)
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular (Hollywood Studios)
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Hollywood Studios)
  • It’s Tough to Be a Bug (Animal Kingdom) – Closed from March 8-11
  • The Boneyard (Animal Kingdom)
  • Festival of the Lion King (Animal Kingdom)
  • Finding Nemo – The Musical (Animal Kingdom)
  • UP! A Great Bird Adventure (Animal Kingdom)
  • Kali River Rapids (Animal Kingdom)
  • Character Meet & Greets (All Parks)

Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopens on March 7 for the spring/summer season. Like the other Disney World parks, reservations and face coverings will be required for guests visiting Blizzard Beach.

Universal Orlando

The good times are still rollin’ at Universal Orlando, the Mardi Gras festivities continue through March 28! During the daily celebration, you’ll experience authentic Mardi Gras entertainment such as street performers, music, and tons of beads. The Carnaval-inspired event also includes international cuisine from Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, Germany, Spain, and other regions.

  • Fear Factor Live (Universal Studios)
  • Fievel’s Playland (Universal Studios)
  • Universal’s Superstar Parade (Universal Studios)
  • Camp Jurassic (Islands of Adventure)
  • Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls (Islands of Adventure) – Closed until March 19
  • If I Ran the Zoo (Islands of Adventure)
  • Jurassic Park Discovery Center (Islands of Adventure)
  • Me Ship, The Olive (Islands of Adventure)
  • Poseidon’s Fury (Islands of Adventure)
  • Storm Force Accelatron (Islands of Adventure)

SeaWorld Orlando

You can continue to enjoy SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival all month long. “Orlando’s biggest and boldest culinary adventure” takes place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through May 9. This year’s festivities include returning favorites along with exciting new menu items. Live performers will also take the stage at Bayside Stadium on select dates throughout the festival.

Busch Gardens Tampa

The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival is in full swing. This year’s event includes live performances from local talent and delicious food and drinks all throughout the park. You can enjoy the open-air festival every weekend at Busch Gardens Tampa through April 25!

  • Animal Care Center
