This year’s International Food & Wine Festival at Walt Disney World’s Epcot is already in full swing! Every day from now until November 15th, Walt Disney’s World hosts their annual foodie retreat. This culinary adventure happens every fall and 2015 is the festival’s 20th Anniversary celebration. Guests have the opportunity to sample cultural cuisine paired with regional wines and beers as you take a gastronomical world tour around the World Showcase in Epcot.
With over 30 global marketplaces to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to begin! So, to make your decision easier, here are the Top 7 Must Try Foods at the 2015 Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival:
The Canada booth features this soup every year, for good reason. It’s deliciously cheesy, creamy and always a guest-favorite. You definitely don’t want to miss this stop.
France always features a variation on an escargots dish and this year’s croissant dish is the perfect vessel! The buttery, garlicky pastry is a great complement to the salty escargots (yes, they’re snails, but don’t let that scare you off!).
Chew Lab is one of the new booths this year and this dessert has been a great hit! The chocolate is supremely creamy enhanced by a warm whiskey caramel sauce. It’s a truly unique and tasty sweet treat.
Topped with a soft, tender griddle cheese, the yuca is light and fluffy. It’s also a vegetarian item if you have dietary requirements, but even meat eaters will love this authentic dish.
Lines are always long at Ireland’s booth and most would agree that it’s because of this amazing dish! Topped with creamy mashed potatoes, this is definitely a home-style comfort food. They don’t skimp on the seafood in this dish either and the portion is a great value for the price.
The Belgium booth serves up three waffle topping varieties – one savory and two sweet. The savory waffle is topped with beer-braised beef, potatoes, leeks and Smoked Gouda cream while the dessert waffles are topped with whipped cream and either Warm Chocolate Ganache or Berry Compote. You can’t go wrong with any one of these – or just order all three!
Hawai’i is another crowd-favorite for their hearty dishes and fresh flavors. The pork meat is slow cooked so it’s extremely tender and juicy. Topped with sweet and sour Dole pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise, this is a filling choice that packs a tasty punch.
