Everything You Need to Know About Disney World’s Reopening

Everything You Need to Know About Disney World’s Reopening

UPDATED 9/23/20

After several months of shut down due to COVID-19, Walt Disney World’s official reopening period began on May 20, when some of Disney Springs’ restaurants and shops opened back up to the public. The phased reopening process continues with select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and it has been announced that the theme parks will be back up and running in July.

It’s important to note that all Disney World theme parks, resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences, and other offerings will be subject to limited capacity/operating hours, and may be modified.

Walt Disney World Parks

Disney World is still using a park reservation system to manage crowd levels each day. To enter a park, you will need both a park reservation AND a valid admission ticket for the same park on the same day as your reservation.

As expected, there are several new rules and regulations in place at the parks to keep guests safe and healthy during their visits. All cast members and guests above the age of two years old will be required to wear face masks, and temperature screenings may be required in some locations.

If attractions and experiences do not allow for proper physical distancing, they may be modified or unavailable. As of now, guests can expect all of the following locations to be open at each park when they reopen.
