Experience the Dark Arts at Universal Orlando

Hogwarts Castle has become the perfect backdrop for some incredible evening entertainment at Universal Orlando, with the festive “Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts” during the holidays and the dazzling “Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle”. However, things are about to take a dark turn in the Wizarding World when the all-new “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” projection show makes it debut at Universal’s Islands of Adventure later this year.

The upcoming nighttime spectacular will bring a whole new level of sorcery to the park, illuminating the castle with some of the darkest creatures and villains including dementors, death eaters, Aragog, mountain trolls, thestrals and more. The show, which highlights the darkest parts of the Wizarding World, will even feature an appearance from the dark Lord Voldemort himself!

The show is set to be a hypnotizing display of lights, music and special effects that will take on a much more intense tone than the previous evening shows in order to challenge goodness and reflect the drama that occurs in the Wizarding World.

Guests taking in the spectacle will have to look for their inner strength to face the dark arts in moving scenes that bring the infamous film franchise to life on the side of Hogwarts Castle. The villainous creatures will take over until the Patronus (the Wizarding World’s most powerful charm) brings a bright light that combats the dark scenes.

To take the drama to another level, the show will be soundtracked by an exclusive musical arrangement recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra. The accompaniment, conducted by William Ross, is based on the original film scores which were composed by the legendary John Williams.

The show will make its debut at Universal Hollywood next month, and it set to premiere at Universal Orlando later this year.
