Black Spire Outpost is a remote village located on Planet Bantuu. It was once a busy intersection on the sub-lightspeed trade routes. With the rise of hyperspace travel, the Outpost was abandoned. It then became a hideaway perfect for anyone trying to fly under the radar. Wandering travelers can explore eccentric shops and restaurants owned by village locals around the Black Spire Outpost marketplace.
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
This mysterious shop is a den of rare and unique artifacts. The collection is the life’s work of an infamous antique dealer named Dok-Ondar. The den is filled with crates, boxes, and shelves of goods that have been thoughtfully curated. However, the organization system may only make sense to Dok-Ondar. His collection includes treasures like jewelry, ancient tools, statues, rare kyber crystals, famous lightsabers, and more.
At Savi’s Workshop, you can create your own personalized lightsaber to carry with you during your travels on Planet Batuu. One of Savi’s gatherers will meet you outside of the workshop to help you get started. First, you’ll choose from one of four hilt themes and get a cloisonné pin that identifies your selection. Each hilt theme has its own significance and history.
Peace and Justice
Pieces that represent peace and justice were created from the remnants of fallen Jedi temples and crashed starships. They were made for Force wielders of the Republic era. Their simple designs represented the devout life of the Jedi Order, committed to maintaining peace and justice in the galaxy.
Power and Control
Power and control pieces were originally created by the Sith of their time, made from ashes of abandoned Sith temples. Identified by their strong, sharp forms, these parts demonstrate the Siths’ relentless desire for control and power.
The Force is an energy field, generated by the elements of nature, that surrounds, penetrates, and binds the galaxy together. These lightsaber pieces get the power of the Force from unique natural materials. Some elements include wood from a brylark tree, the bone of a cartusion whale, and the tooth from a rancor.
Protection and Defense
The protection and defense theme features the earliest lightsaber pieces that were cultivated from a forgotten time. They are decorated with mysterious designs and inscriptions that symbolize anonymity and emotional detachment. Lightsabers made with these pieces connect people to ancient sources of The Force.
Next, the gatherers will help you choose a kyber crystal. Kyber crystals are the heart of your lightsaber and are available in red, green, blue or violet. Once you’ve decided on a theme and crystal, you can start assembling your hilt. The box of parts, which is based on your selected theme, includes:
- 1 hilt
- 4 sleeves (pick 2)
- 2 emitters (pick 1)
- 2 pommel caps (pick 1)
- 2 sets of activation plates and switches (pick 1 set)
Finally, the gatherers will connect your hilt to a 36” lightsaber blade and your creation will be complete! Additional customization parts will be available for purchase at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. This experience costs $199 per lightsaber and will include a carrying case. It is recommended that participating guests are at least five years old.
At the Droid Depot you can create and customize your very own droid. First, you’ll register your choice of a BB-Series or R-Series unit with a clerk. The clerk will get you started by giving you a blueprint and a basket.
At the Parts Station, a conveyor belt displays a variety of colorful components. Based on your blueprint, you can choose the parts that will be used to customize your droid. BB-Series droid parts include a dome, dome connections plate, body sphere, and motivator. R-Series droids require a dome, body, center leg, and a set of side legs. Once you’ve gathered all of your components, you can move on to the Build Station.
To start assembling your droid, you will just follow the simple placemat instructions or refer to the graphic monitor display. Once it’s completed, your droid will be activated and paired with a remote control. Then, you can watch your creation come to life!
The droid building experience will cost $99.99 per astromech droid unit. Additional personality chips and accessories will be available for purchase as well. Droid Depot purchases are nonrefundable and pass holder discounts will not be valid. Reservations may be required based on guest demand.
