Along with the other fright fests taking place at our favorite parks this Halloween season, Howl-O-Scream is also making its return to Busch Gardens Tampa. You can experience crazy horrors on select nights from September 20 through November 2, including:
- September 20, 21, 27, and 28
- October 4-6, 10-13, 17-20, and 24-27
- November 1 and 2
The annual Halloween celebration takes over the whole park on event nights with haunted houses, scare zones, special entertainment, exclusive dining offerings, and more!
Howl-O-Scream will feature six haunted houses this year, with both new concepts and returning themes.
The Residence (NEW!)
Looks can be misleading in this suburban home. What appears to be the picture perfect residence of the Clark family is actually filled with unexpected horrors behind every door. Enter at your own risk…
When you go inside Simon’s Slaughterhouse, you are agreeing to play Simon’s crazy games. There are sick and twisted antics at every turn in this haunted house, so enter at your own risk!
The Black Spot
The Black Spot is where an infamous evil pirate sends his victims to meet their terrifying end. Saw Tooth Silas has marked everyone who enters this house for death. The creepy hideaway has dimly lit corners at every turn that hold the secret to your escape…or your demise.
Death Water Bayou
The Queen of the Shadows is back from the dead thanks to Voodoo’s dark magic. She is out for revenge with the help of her evil cronies, and every person who enters the swamp is at risk of being cursed.
Insomnia: Patients’ Revenge
It’s doctors versus patients in this twisted sleep institute. After years of being tortured by the doctors, the patients are fighting back and torturing their captors. Behind every door of this demented facility lies another nightmare.
Motel Hell: Infestation
Motel Shellburn is overrun with oozing, disgusting insects and critters and each room will make your skin crawl. As if that’s not bad enough, the exterminator is on a tear to terminate ALL signs of life. The trick is to make it to check out without succumbing to the noxious attacks from the exterminator.
In addition to the haunted houses, there will be nine scare zones around the park including three all-new concepts.
The First Fear scare zone brings 20 years’ worth of frights from Howl-O-Scream back from the dead. In the new Little Nightmares zone, you can take relive the nightmares of your childhood with homemade costumes and creepy papier-mache masks. The third new concept is Carpe Noctem, a gothic Romanian cemetery that is filled with the chilling screams of vampires and the unsettling cries. of their victims
As far as returning scare zones, the Meat Market’s cannibal creatures are looking for a human snack in the streets of Busch Gardens Tampa.
Another returning scare zone is the apocalyptic area run by a Hell On Wheels motorcycle gang marking their territory and hoarding the food and essentials that guests in the zone would need to survive.
In Maniac Midway, Sparky the clown and his band of carnies are all over Pantopia looking for new horrific characters to star in their creepy attraction and childhood toys come to life on a mission for murder in the Deadly Toys scare zone.
At Camp DOA, swamp monsters haunt the campground ensuring that no camper can rest easy at night and a spooky one of a kind parade of spirits and lost souls are on parade in the Dia De Los Muertos zone.
Other Event Entertainment
Some of the park’s thrill rides are a little extra frightful during Howl-O-Scream. Tigris, Cobra’s Curse, Falcon’s Fury, Cheetah Hunt, Montu, SheiKra, and Kumba are haunted by nightmarish creatures all night long.
The Fiends Show will return to the Stanleyville Theater this year, with creepy characters welcoming you to a truly deranged dance party.
